Process | VDW Millwork and Cabinetry

The first step is filling out the form on our Free Estimate page. Once you receive your estimate, you can choose to accept or decline our offer for a complimentary in‑shop consultation where we look at materials finishes and go over design. After the consultation, we complete on‑site measurements. Shortly after, you’ll receive a detailed drawing for review along with a finalized quote. If any design changes come up during this stage, we’ll simply update the quote to reflect the new direction.

2.Approval

Once the drawings are approved and the final price is confirmed, your project moves into production. Approval verifies that all dimensions, materials, and design details are correct. An initial payment is required to begin ordering materials and start the manufacturing process. Any changes requested after approval may affect pricing and timelines and will be handled as changed orders.

3.Manufacturing

This is where our shop takes over completely. We cut every component on calibrated machinery, assemble everything with tight, consistent tolerances, and apply the finish with the same level of care. From here on, we’ll update you only when there’s something you need to know.

4.Install

Each unit is set, leveled, and secured so everything lines up cleanly with your walls and floors. Doors, drawers, and hardware are adjusted for smooth, consistent operation, and any fillers or trim pieces are fitted for a seamless finish.

When the installation is complete and everything has been reviewed with you, the final payment is collected to close out the project.
